Journey to the West

Paperback - 4 volumes, over 1000 pages each. Translated by  W.J.F. Jenner. My first Chinese classic novel bought at a shop while waiting to return home from the Beijing Airport in year 2005. I love reading the poems, I would read it carefully line by line. I remember to love reading this genre since then.

This is some interesting lines from page  830

When male and female are half and half the metal element obtains water. But what he did not say was this;

"Fire and water support each other; each with its own fate
all depends on the Earth Mother to combine them naturally
the three met together, without competing
water is in the Yangtze River, and the moon on the sky"
